Applesauce for S.A.F.E. - 10/03/2017

The Kiwanis Club of Blairsville, in conjunction with the Union County Canning Plant, will help local children by preparing homemade applesauce for S.A.F.E. (Support in Abusive Family Emergencies).  Operation Crisscross Applesauce will take place on Tuesday, October 10, at the Canning Plant, where Kiwanis members and Cannery staff will wash, prepare, cook and process freshly picked apples for delivery to S.A.F.E.  

The activities are part of Kiwanis One Day, a global day of service that unites the entire Kiwanis family worldwide. On this day, volunteers in Blairsville will join volunteers around the world in devoting a few hours to hands-on service. Kiwanis International...

A Day at the Ranch - 04/20/2017

Disabled children from Union and Towns County Schools, thier parents and teachers,  and adults from Blairsville Avita enjoyed a beautiful day at Joshua Dream Ranch today.  Gino,  his terriffic group of volunteers, and of course, the animals helped bring smiles and squeals to delighted kids.

The Ramp for JD Ranch is Ready - 03/31/2017

Blairsville Kiwanis recently donated an ADA-compliant horse ramp to Joshua Dream Ranch. The new ramp will enable physically impaired children and adults to have better and safer access to horse riding and large animal encounters.

Harlem Ambassadors Edge Out Recycled Panthers - 03/01/2017

In an amazing come-back during the final quarter, the Harlem Ambassadors squeaked past the Union County Recycled Panthers to win the game, 119 to 117. Many thanks to our talented Panthers, audience participants and supporters for making this event a truly memorable experience.
